Penthouse Clear Energy Drink Sponsors AFL Fight To The Finish VII

Penthouse Clear Energy Drink Is Coming To NC

Penthouse Clear Energy Drink Is Coming To NC

This Saturday, September 26th, the VII edition of the AFL Fight To The Finish takes place at the NG Armory in Elizabeth City, and as the main sponsor for the event, Penthouse Clear will introduce their new energy drink.

The Penthouse Clear drink is not yet available for retail distribution anywhere in NC, but they've picked AFL's MMA event to ease their entrance in our market here in the East Coast.

Here's a little blurb about this cool drink, from their official website:

We have succeeded in creating consumable products that allow you and the little devil inside of you to live life on top - helping you succeed in goals you have, or dreams that you have yet to fulfill by giving you the energy to accomplish them.

The drink is entirely made in the U.S., and comes straight out of Memphis, TN, which is appropriate, since Memphis is the birthplace of Rock & Roll. Their production line pays extra attention to detail, and they're much more focused on quality then quantity.

Penthouse clear is made from Xian Cao, an herb considered to be the "Herb Of Immortality". Hype or not, Xian Cao is an Adaptogen (helps the body deal with its physical, mental and emotional stresses) and assists to maintain Homeostasis (our body’s ability to attain internal equilibrium by adjusting its physiological processes), and maintains healthy body functions. It is also a potent Antioxidant.

I'm darn excited to try one of these at the fights tomorrow.

IF YOU LEAVE A COMMENT, I'LL BUY YOU ONE!

See you tomorrow!

AFL Fight To The Finish VII Official Fight Card

AFL Fight To The Finish VII In Elizabeth City 9/26

AFL Fight To The Finish VII In Elizabeth City 9/26

It's official now: the 7th edition of the Amateur Fight League Fight To The Finish fight card is up, and both Billy Frezza and Gina Elko will have their MMA debuts on the 26th of this month.

Once again, KnuckleUp OBX is extremely proud of both of these students for their dedication and commitment to the training, and we're EXTREMELY confident both Gina and Billy will DOMINATE their opponents in Elizabeth City.

In the last edition of the Fight To The Finish in the Outer Banks, Omar Santiago showed amazing technique and power, in a 4-round battle that he would have surely won if not by an unfortunate accident.

Billy Frezza was supposed to have his debut then, but his opponent was too scared to show up. This time, Billy is twice as hungry for a win, and I'm really sorry for his opponent.

the official fight card for event:

  1. Eric Martindale Vs. Mark Franklin
  2. Steve Bontatibus Vs. Lindsey Ormsbee
  3. Jamie Pickett Vs. Kelly Wilkins
  4. Steve Chinners Vs. Jonathan Cornett
  5. Donald Tinsley Vs. Travis Searcy
  6. Jason Salvo Vs. Christian Brunetti
  7. Johnathan Thomas Vs. David Prowse
  8. Teruo Mays Vs. Jason Ramos
  9. Stephen Henkel Vs. Billy Frezza
  10. Aaron Weeks Vs. Richard "2" Riggins II
  11. Nick Morrison Vs. David Griffin
  12. Ron Lindig Vs. Robert Smith
  13. James Crumpler Vs. Clint Starnes
  14. Christopher Cain Vs. William Devotie
  15. Ashley Nee Vs. Gina Elko
  16. Nick Tellez Vs. John White
  17. Zed Mitchell Vs. Joshua Munden
  18. Wayne Hunter Vs. Mike Kellar

The event will be held at 110 Westover St. Elizabeth City, NC 27909, in the National Guard Armory.

We hope to see you there to support our fighters!

MMA Makes History In The Outer Banks - Fight To The Finish VI

At 6:30pm, there were 100+ people in line trying to get in; the entire east section of the Outer Banks Mall parking lot was taken, forcing people to use the Outer Banks Hospital's parking lot; 5 police cars and 1 ambulance completed the highly unusual scenario.

If it seems like I'm describing Michael Jackson's funeral is because like me, you've never seem anything of such proportions in the Outer Banks. The AFL MMA Fight To The Finish VI was off to a great start.

The conservative 500 people limit imposed by the Nags Head Fire Marshal was reached 20 minutes after the doors were open, sending well over 150 people away, and it made a lot of people regret not buying a ticket earlier.

Inside, it was clear that the AFL had a really rough spot to work with: SeaMark left the building completely stripped, and there wouldnt be any sign of Air Conditioning. On the bright side, absolutely no smoking was allowed, the music was rocking right from the start, and the entire fight structure resembled nothing amateur-like.

The UFC-style cage (the octagon ring) left no doubt in regards to the seriousness of the event. Set right in the center of the building, with VIP tables circling it, the stage was set for a kick-arse fight night.

KnuckleUp and Genesis Tattoo were installed right past the entrance, and the Hooters girls were hard at work to keep everybody's thirst quenched.

Soon after 7pm, not late at all for fight event standards, the ringmaster called the first fighters; with 500 people to please (many MMA-virgins), the pressure was on AFL's fight card to deliver on all the hype it had created. (Actually, all the hype that KNUCKLEUP created... )

And they sure did. Props to Donnie Markham, owner of AFL MMA and The Fitness Warehouse gyms, and Donnie Tinsley, who matched the fighters. There was only one No-Show (Billy Frezza's opponent), and almost all of the fights were well-leveled.

Bottomline is, the night was a MAJOR hit - It is without a small shadow of doubt that I say everybody was blown away by the professional set up, excellent infra-structure (with the A/C exception), and awesome fight SPECTACLE.

Now, for the fights... Here are some:

It's so much to talk about that we're going to save it for another post!
