Intro to Obstacles and Strength Training

One of the newest classes we offer at KnuckleUp, our Intro to Obstacles and Fitness class is just another way to offer to get in shape while having fun. Amy Eaton is a fitness machine, and she'll help you achieve the results you want in no time. If you're tired of the usual dull workout routines, then this is the class you've been waiting for!

Amy Eaton: Fitness Proof

When you first meet Amy, you'll be forgiven for thinking she's a 30 year old fitness model turned instructor. In fact, Amy is 40 and has two children. Or so she says. We don't entirely believe it either. But there's no arguing she holds a world record for weightlifting in her age range! Plus an entire list of athletic accomplishments we've listed at the bottom of the page.

And while she is a fitness model, she doesn't just model on stage. Amy also competes in obstacle courses, and hopes to put an obstacle course team together at KnuckleUp. She wants to prepare people to compete in the same competitions she partakes in. But whether you want to compete or not, there's no denying the results you'll get from the class!

Prepare to be Challenged

This class isn't just another aerobics class. It combines a variety of cardiovascular exercises with strength training, to get you into complete peak physical condition. You'll work on:

  • Body weight training
  • Plyo exercises
  • Short distance sprint training
  • Cardio interval training
  • Obstacles (hurdles, box jumps, etc)
  • And More!

Full Body Fitness

This class is the perfect compliment for training in jiu jitsu or taking kickboxing classes. It's also great for giving that competitive edge to distance and marathon runners. Yeah, we're looking at you, bootcampers.

The class is free to members, so if you're already in kickboxing or bjj, you can take this one too. It's every Wednesday at 5:30 PM, so stop by after work and get a new kind of workout in at the best place for fitness on the Outer Banks, KnuckleUp!
