Omar Santiago: The Unofficial AFL Feather Weight Champion
The entire KnuckleUp team is proud of Omar's performance at the Fight To The Finish VI match. Omar dominated the fight throughout the 4 rounds (over 15 minutes on the Cage!), displaying amazing conditioning, strength, and technique.
The hard training absolutely paid off; Omar showed amazing skills, offsetting his opponent right from the beginning. Short after the bell rang, Omar took Casey to the ground with a beautiful takedown, and that was just the start.
The battle lasted for 4 rounds, which shows the level of conditioning of these athletes. At the end, however, while defending his guard, Omar accidentally hit Casey on the chin with an illegal kick.
The referee disqualified Omar, and gave Casey the title.
Even though we agree with the decision, and hope Casey's injuries are only minor, it was clear that Omar won the fight.

casey won PERIOD!!!!!, omar only had a couple good take downs, but as he was on top of casey he didnt progress to hit him at all, casey’s guard was way to strong for omar, next time teach your fighters to play by the rules and maybe they’ll get somewhere, but omar lost fair and square, casey is THE champion PERIOD, there should be no more talk about this, omar just isn’t champ material i guess
Hey Joseph,
If you keep track of the points (body shots, take downs, sweeps, guard passes) you’ll see Omar won fair and square. The kick was an accident (it’s a fight after all), but the decision was pending towards Omar – no doubt about it.
hey omar bottom line you did an illegal move wich disqualified you. you kicked him in the nuts then did an illegal kick and thats why you lost. anyways casey is always down for rematch so dont kick him in the balls again and lets have a fair fight.
you guys from knuckleup need to train your fighters to fight fair, up kicks ARE illegal in amature fights, especially in the balls, and with the point system, omar only had a couple take downs, no kicks or jabs which casey did have, teach omar a little dissaplin and rules and then MAYBE enter him into another fight
