New Winter Schedule For KnuckleUp Outer Banks Effective Nov03

No, we're not going to pull the Polar Bear on you.

No, we're not going to pull the Polar Bear on you.

DONT STOPPPPP!!!!!!!

Our students have done SO well this summer, we've had such great results with the beach bootcamp, Charles Craddock got 1st place in a VA beach jiu jitsu tournament, and we've seen people shredding weight in all of classes.

To keep the momentum going, we've boosted our Winter class schedule - click the link to check it out.

We've added more classes, and Sal is taking over the Friday classes.

But the biggest change is in the Martial Arts program is the new Jiu Jitsu program.

As we've mentioned on that post, the Jiu Jitsu curriculum now obeys the official USA Jiu Jitsu program. A couple of modifications are still in the works: we will expand the mat area to the upstairs weight room soon, and Jeremiah is going to teach only the Advanced class.

For now, Chris Stolzman is taking over the BJJ Fundamentals class, which starts at 6pm Monday thru Thursday.

We'll keep you updated on the new classes as they start rolling - there's a big chance that...

The first students get a Free Jiu Jitsu Gi (Kimono)

This is not official yet, but keep that in mind ;)

Check out the new KnuckleUp Class Calendar

See you soon!

Going To Cincinnati? Stop by Jorge Gurgel MMA Academy!

Our own Morrison Butler with Jorge Gurgel at JG MMA in Cincinnati

Our own Morrison Butler with Jorge Gurgel at JG MMA in Cincinnati

It's funny how the world is indeed a small place...

Some time ago, Morrison was running the KnuckleUp gyms in Atlanta, and basically ruling the MMA scene down there.

In one of their shows, he met Jorge Gurgel, who's not only a great fighter, but a successful gym owner as well (over 12 affiliated clubs across the US).

Fast forward to last September - one of Morrison's former KnuckleUp colleagues moves to Cincinnati to take the Sales Manager position at ... Jorge Gurgel MMA Academy!

Of course, while in Ohio, Morrison went to Jorge's school and took some pictures for us. He managed to get with UFC headliner Rich Franklin (who's Jorge's BFF - according to Jorge), and had a pretty tough training session there.

The cool thing is that JG MMA is now implementing KnuckleUp's kickboxing classes into their MMA program in Cincinnati - and they got a brand new bag room just for it (check out the pictures below).

So if you're ever up North, wondering where to train, dont think twice: JG MMA has the best mma classes in Cincinnati!

And if you're not looking for mma, you can continue your kickboxing workouts in Cincinnati as well.

The Ultimate MMA Strength And Conditioning Program Review

Eric Wong's MMA Strength & Conditioning Program

Eric Wong's MMA Strength & Conditioning Program

Incorporating boxing, wrestling, muay thai, and jiu jitsu into a comprehensive MMA training that doesnt require daily 3-hour workout sessions is a work of art. But it still isnt enough.

Fighting will shape your body to become flexible, explosive, and lean - but it does so in a natural, slow pace. Yeah, we love natural, but we dont like slow.

We're fighters, and being slow means we lose! So how can you pick up the pace in your training, gain strength, power, and improve your conditioning for MMA?

Well, you must've noticed that fighters have other, more experienced fighters, coach them - and they get paid very well for it.

But of course, not many folks can afford a full-time MMA personal trainer.

Luckily, one of the top MMA trainers in the country thought about this and released the Ultimate MMA Strength & Conditioning program - a complete personal trainer that you can take with you anywhere - simply loading it up on your iPod!

Zero fat, MASSIVE Knockout Power!

Zero fat, MASSIVE Knockout Power!

Eric Wong, the author, took Jeff "Inferno" Joslin all the way to the UFC - and documented the entire process.

His course includes videos for each exercise, as well as a progressive training system designed to improve your stamina, and boost your knockout power. It creates lean, powerful muscles, perfectly suited for explosive MMA moves.

The videos come "on-the-go-ready" - simply load them up to your iPod, print a copy of your training program and go to the gym with your new personal trainer.

And it's a bargain at $57 bucks!

Click here to get yours now

P.S - We've been using this program for about a month at the gym - our instructor Sal has a copy on his iPod all the time.

So we decided to give you a great opportunity:

Buy the MMA program today, leave us a comment here on the blog saying "yeah, I got it", and Morrison Butler (our head trainer, 13 years of MMA experience) will personally contact you to answer any questions.

You dont want to miss that - Morrison is a killer trainer!

Go get it now

2 KnuckleUp Students Fighting At Modern Gladiators 7

Modern Gladiators are brought by King Of The Ring

Modern Gladiators are brought by King Of The Ring

The 'fight bug' is definitely not getting out of the gym - at least not with guys like Billy Frezza and Omar Santiago. They've both just signed up for a fight at the King of the Ring's Modern Gladiator, in Virginia Beach, this October 17th.

Omar, after his MMA debut at the AFL VI, is back, fighting at 145lbs.

Billy just had his first fight at AFL VII, is hungry for another one, and will be fighting at 135lbs. His opponent is Chris Huntington (1-1-0).

Omar Santiago, KnuckleUp fighter

The King Of The Ring started when William Varner promoted the very first King of the Ring on February 16, 2001, in a ballroom at the Surfside Oceanfront Inn in Virginia Beach.

From their website:

The event was a huge success among local fighters and MMA fighting fans. With some fighters coming from as far away as Costa Rica to participate, KOTR has grown steadily, beginning to fill the basketball arena at a local university with a capacity of 8,000 spectators. Every KOTR event averages fifteen bouts in a regulation size boxing ring.

We'll surely be there supporting Billy and Omar - and it'd be cool if you could be there too.

See ya there!
